Mission statement

Bais Chaya Mushka is a Jewish day school in Los Angeles with a unique and special history.
BCM grew out of a social and religious commitment to provide the foundation of an
all-encompassing Torah and Chabad Chassidic education to every Jewish child. BCM was founded as, and remains to this day, the only Chabad Chassidic elementary girl's school of its kind on the West Coast of the United States. As such, its responsibility to develop Jews as leaders and teachers, regardless of future occupations, in the community to spread the Chassidic message and
practice is the major focus of BCM. Today it serves over 400 students in kindergarten
through eighth grade. BCM is conveniently located to serve the Greater Los Angeles
Jewish community as well as students from nearby communities outside the metropolitan Los
Angeles area.

Bais Chaya Mushka strives to provide and promote the highest possible quality Judaic and general education to our community. To give over the tools - gleaned from the Torah and Chassidic values - to reach personal excellence, and to be responsible members of modern society. We strive to cultivate within our students a love for learning, a healthy sense of self, and the interpersonal skills they will need to succeed in life.

Bais Chaya Mushka admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin in all the rights, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, scholarship programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
